A unique attraction within Great Oakley is the cricket club which was founded in 1873 and is situated on Lewin Road – within the Great Oakley Estate. Great Oakley Cricket Club fields a number of teams from a 1^st XI and T20 team to Under 11, 13 and 15 teams, providing a great infrastructure through which talent can be spotted, encouraged and cultivated.

The club plays in the Northamptonshire Twenty20 League, Rutland League, Northamptonshire Cricket League and more and regularly hosts events and fundraisers its bar.
